Welcome to Anime Rants! The seasonal anime for Winter 2024 will start within the next week or so. Compared to usual, I will be covering fewer shows for my episode reviews. There just aren’t many options that interest me this season. Regardless, I’m fairly excited for the ones that I chose.
That’s right – I finally started watching it! Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an unexpectedly good fantasy anime that started in Fall 2023, a bit later than most other series from that month. Because I knew nothing about it until halfway through the season, I didn’t cover any Frieren content on my blog. Well, now that changes.
You’ve heard of “To Kill a Mockingbird” but what about “To Catch a Schtille”? In the universe of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, there are many interesting and magical creatures. The anime does a decent job naming these monsters and explaining their lifestyles or hunting strategies.
It seems like, the last few years, fantasy with video-game elements has become the most dominant genre of anime. (Shounen is more of a demographic, but even if you consider it a genre, classic fighting shounens are not popping up as commonly as fantasy/game anime.) Greetings. I’m Mono and I’m very grateful that you visited my blog today. We are continuing the episode reviews for Beastars Final Season (part 1), which aired in Fall 2024. Episodes 9 and 10 were highly entertaining and exciting. The ninth installment showed us Melon’s face, while the tenth installment contained important character information and development for Legoshi. Let’s review the main events.
This was an excellent episode of The Apothecary Diaries second season. One of the most fun parts of this series is watching Maomao unravel mysteries in the palace. Another favorite aspect of mine – which is more serious – is the focus on classism. Episode 31 provides an engaging mystery to solve while reminding us that it’s difficult to live in a society that allows sexual slavery and strict social hierarchy. There was also some fascinating world-building in this installment. Let’s review.
Thanks for visiting Anime Rants! Today we’re reviewing the most recent episodes of Solo Leveling Season 2. Since depression and addiction are kicking my ass lately, this will be a shorter than usual post and may skip a few points worth mentioning. Sorry about that. Writing is hard when it feels like the world is burning and my hormones are a mess on top of everything else, haha. Anyway, please enjoy these short recaps.
Welcome back to Anime Rants. Sakamoto Days finished airing a couple weeks ago now, but I’m behind since I was taking turns each week between this anime and Blue Exorcist. Sorry for the delay, but here are some brief thoughts on the last three episodes of the short but fun Netflix anime, Sakamoto Days.
Note: This review avoids spoilers except in one marked section
When I first heard of the Public School Arc, I was slightly confused, as the story was clearly taking place at a private academy not funded by the government. From what I’ve been able to gather, there’s a language difference here between European and American
Hey, remember that zombie anime from 2 years ago? Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead aired in Summer 2023 and the last three episodes were delayed until the very end of that year in December. Just this week, I finally went back and watched
