Semifinal Battle of ‘Pokémon Journeys’ Previewed in Latest Trailer
Ash Ketchum, the eternal ten-year-old protagonist of Pokemon, is about to face yet another World Championship. Pokemon Journeys premiered in 2019, and after two and a half years, the series is racing towards its end.
The World Championship will probably be the series’ finale, and Ash is going up against some pretty serious opponents.
The semifinal battle of Pokémon Journeys: The Series’ World Championship arc will air on August 26. A new promotional video has also been revealed that shows the battle between Ash and Cynthia, the two semifinalists.
Cynthia has proved herself more than capable of winning in the last few battles. Her opponents have been run down to dust. In the new teaser, Ash’s pokemons seem to be receiving heavy damage from Cynthia.
Even Pikachu, Ash’s ultimate friend/weapon, is taking a heavy hit. The video portrays the fierce battle, and Ash is practically getting tossed around.
In the finals, Ash has to face Leon, the Galar League champion, also called the Monarch. He is the reigning winner and will be a tough opponent to beat.
The latest visual is designed like a battle poster between the two young talents:
Can Ash defeat the reigning champion and win the tournament? Before that, he has to face this goth girl and judging from the video, Cynthia is not ready to lose this battle.
