Sentai Filmworks Acquires Baki for a Smashing Home Video Release
Baki, the Netflix original series for fighting-crazed people, has announced its BluRay release.
With muscles bulging from every part of the body and some insane movements that are borderline inhuman, the series has managed to capture fans of the action genre.
Adapted from Baki the Grappler, the anime once again follows the story of Baki but in a new setting. Some crazy-strong death-row escapees are prowling around town with murderous intent. Only Baki can stop them from causing chaos.
Sentai Filmworks has announced that it has acquired the Baki series and will be releasing it on home video. It will be released as a complete collection in the United States by Sentai.
The home video release will contain both English subtitles and English dub. The confirmed release date has not been revealed yet.
Baki, the teenage boy with a full-grown pro-wrestler body, will once again be seen fighting notorious guys but this time on BluRay. You would think that a teenager is not someone you should task with killing escaped convicts but no!
The police and other agencies sit hand in hand while Baki fights with his life on the line. Apart from the minor technicalities, it is an action lover’s dream anime.
Netflix streamed the anime on 25th June 2018 in Japan. It was released in other countries on 18th December. The second season of the series was released on 4th June 2020, and it covered the Great Chinese Challenge Arc.
A 15 minutes OVA was also released for the series, bundled with the special edition of the manga’s 14th volume. The anime’s first season has 26 episodes while the second season has 13 episodes.
