Shin-Ei Animation’s Idolls! Reveals PV and Visual: Premieres January
Idolls! is an upcoming anime based on the “Idolls Project,” the main content of “What Sei You?”. It is a Youtube program formed by the animation studio “Shin-Ei Animation” and the voice actor production “81 Produce.”

Shin-Ei animation is known for its world-famous works like Doraemon and Crayon Shin-chan. The company is now heading towards its first idol-themed TV anime.
Shinei Animation opened an official website for the Idolls! anime, which posted a promotional video and the main visual. The anime will be broadcasted on the BS Asahi channel on January 8 at 11:00 p.m.
The promotional video previews the opening theme song titled “We Are The One!”, which was performed by the four main cast members. The anime’s ending theme song, “Even If You Wake Up Dreaming,” will also be performed by them.
The video shows a live stage performance of the four main characters.
The special visual features the four main characters of the anime, Aina, Ami, Shior, and Ruka.
The franchise also opened a Tiktok account, where they will be uploading fun videos and other dance videos.
The official website announced that the four main cast members will be appearing in a half-hour New Year’s Day special on BS Asahi at 11:00 p.m.
Most of the animation is produced in 3D, using the motion capture of the main cast themselves. We already know about the main staff and cast details.

The four main cast members are selected from 84 rookie voice actresses, who competed against each other in an open audition “Idolls Project.”
The cast members will also appear in the radio program “Ayumi Fujii’s Ayuyu Cafe” broadcasted on FM FUJI every Saturday from 22:00. These guest appearances will be held for four weeks, from December 19 to January 9.
Not much is revealed about the plot. It is expected that the story will be similar to other Idol-themed anime, showing the musical journey of a female idol group struggling to fill a venue with a capacity of 100 people.
