Solo Leveling Chapter 117 Release Date:
As we discussed above, Solo Leveling is an weekly manhwa, which means a new chapter is released every week. Chapter 117 will be the sixth chapter of Solo leveling Season 2 and will be releasing this Wednesday.
The official English chapter will drop on 3rd September 2020. Till then you can check the English translated raw scan versions if you don’t want to wait that long.

Solo Leveling 116 Recap:
At the base of Knights guild, the Deputy Leader and Leader are busy discussing a new gate of the highest level of A-Rank. That makes it very challenging for the Knights guild to handle. Unfortunately, they can’t give it up either as it will affect their reputation negatively.
On the flip side, since it is a very tough gate, if the hunters get careless, there will be a lot of unnecessary deaths. Knights guild has very capable A-Rank hunters. It’s only problem is the lack of an S-Rank. They can’t collaborate with other guilds since they will sense danger and back off.
That is when Jeong Ye-Rim suggests bringing in only 1 man – Sung Jin-Woo. It will be a safe operation and the news will be positive about Knights Guild since they are partnering with the Nation’s finest. Leader Park Jong-Soo decides to visit in person.
Elsewhere, Jin-Woo proposes the name ‘Ahjin Guild’ and it is accepted readily. All they need is a third member – but Jin-Woo rejects Cha Hae-In. Instead he wants someone trustworthy who has no interest in the guild whatsoever.
That’s when the Knights guild arrives. They invite Jin-Woo to the biggest gate in Busan. In return for his participation, Jin-Woo will be awarded 20% of the earnings, which is double of what S-Rank hunters normally get.
However Jin-Woo wants a 50-50 share, non-negotiable. He wants to be treated as the Ahjin Guild, and not as a solo S-Rank hunter. He agrees to take on the Boss of the dungeon as well. They agree to partner up and will meet the next day.
The next day, the Knights guild are gathered in front of the gate. It’s 5 minutes till the raid begins. Jin-Woo starts his shadow exchange. Meanwhile in Jin-Ah’s school, a gate opens inside the classroom. The gate is unsealed and a monster comes out!
Solo Leveling 117 Spoilers:
The first problem caused by the reverse gate is the endangering of students. Jin-Ah goes there but we will find out in Solo Leveling 117 that she is protected by multiple shadows. The enemies are orcs. Pretty soon, the Chief Orc will come out and start defeating the shadows.
The question is, why is this happening? What brought about this change? Could it be some sort of tricks played by the ‘Monarchs’ or ‘Rulers’? Are they somehow testing Jin-Woo? Or is it some new function from the System? The system might be testing Jin-Woo before he enters the Cartenon temple.
Solo Leveling Chapter 117 will show Jin-Woo entering the A-Rank Gate alongside the Knights Guild. But you will see a very peculiar thing happen. Instead of attacking, all the monsters will avoid Jin-Woo and the Knights Guild. Why do you think that happens? Is this a special gate?
