Spirit Chronicles Anime’s New PV Shows Haruto’s Post-Death Journey As Rio
It’s said that experience changes a person, but I wonder if the same rule applies to someone born with the tragic experiences of his past life.
Rio, the protagonist of the Spirit Chronicles light novel series, shares a similar story. Apart from his current hardships, he has to handle the responsibilities and burdens of his past life.
The Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles light novel series is getting an anime adaptation this year, and the franchise has revealed a second promo video for it.
The video takes us back to the day when Amakawa Haruto, a high school boy, died in a bus accident.
He gets reincarnated in a magical world as Rio, a poor boy living in the slums.
Celia, the princess of the Bertram Kingdom, sees something special in the boy and takes him to the Royal Academy, a school only for the rich and powerful.

The anime’s exact release date has not been revealed yet. It is expected to premiere sometime in Summer 2021.
The Royal Academy may seem luxurious and elite, but it isn’t the best place for Rio to be in. The arrogant and imperious students from the noble-class may cause trouble for the poor orphan.
The next thing that draws attention is Celia’s growing interest in Rio. From her magical spells that we saw in the PV, it’s crystal clear that Celia is a born genius, and will probably be aiding Rio to adapt to this new environment.

The memories and personalities of his past self and present life will fuse, thereby shaping him into a completely new person.
I am really looking forward to seeing how Haruto’s tragic past saves Rio from making the same mistakes again.
