The first part of the season 1 has finally come to an end, now fans are waiting for the second part aka Spy x Family Season 2 release date and when it will air.
The very first thing we should know is that the coming part is not the second season of the show. Right from when it was announced, Spy x Family was meant to run in Split cours; one from April and the other from October.
With two-thirds of the first cour being finished, let us jump into all the information about Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2.
We are all highly excited about the next cour. With only a couple of episodes, this show ended up reaching the top 10 highest-rated series in Myanimelist. Yes, over time it will decline slightly.
But we are very interested to see where Part 1 leaves that score and how high Part 2 goes.
With the manga sales of Spy x Family skyrocketing and the upcoming new Musical Project, we can say for sure, that this series has a bright future. Endo sensei has done an amazing job with the manga we recommend every fan to check it out.
After all, where else will we find such a wholesome and yet, action-packed manga! It is a slice of life and shounen at the same time, making it so unique and entertaining.

Spy x Family Part 2 Announcement
Back in 2021, we got the details of the Spy x Family anime. Remember how the information was put on the official website, and then removed pretty soon? It gave the anime somewhat of a spy feeling and fans were very happy about the teaser.
Later in November, the anime was officially announced. Like much other anime, they decided to split it into two cours. Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2 will be a part of the Fall Season in 2022.
If this Part performs as well as the first, then the manga sales will keep being high. And with the popularity fresh with the musical performance, we expect that Spy x Family Season 2 will be greenlit as well. In fact, we can expect it in 2023 as well.
Spy x Family Season 2 Release Date
As we mentioned, Spy x Family Part 2 will be in the Fall Season of 2022. This means, that in October 2022, it will start airing. The exact date is unknown at this point.
But we are hoping that it begins within the first week of the month, hopefully within October 8, 2022.
The anime was originally made to contain 25 episodes. With Part 1 having 12 episodes, Part 2 will obviously have 13. This means, from the manga, about 26 or 27 chapters will get adapted.
Given that each chapter is quite large, a huge chunk of the story will be adapted.
We expect Shueisha, TOHO Animation, Shougakugan, and TV Tokyo to continue being the producers of the show. We will have WIT Studio and Cloverworks collaborate as the Studios behind it. As for licensors, it will probably be Crunchyroll.
Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2 Spoilers
With the pace it is going right now, we believe that Spy x Family Season 2 will begin with the Doggy Crisis Arc – the first major serious arc of the story. Part 1 will take its time to flesh out the characters and establish a nice dynamic between everyone.
And then, Part 2 will come along to show the incredible strength of Endo Sensei’s writing. The Doggy Crisis Arc will be about the fourth member of the Forger Family, who they will adopt Bond Forger.
As the name suggests, Bond will be their dog!
Readers of the manga know it very well. This arc is filled with so much tension. The redeeming moments are so heartfelt that the reader has no choice but to fall in love with the series once over.
Not to mention, the tension is nail-biting!
And following that, we will have the Midterm Exams arc. Let us not discuss much it. Anya does not like to study and we should not ruin her day by talking too much about the academics. Just let her watch Bondman, please!!!
Spy x Family Season 2 Cast
Now for the cast, we expect everything to remain roughly the same. After all, this is the same season and it makes no sense to bring major changes to actors.
- Tanezaki Atsumi will voice Anya Forger, our little heroine.
- Eguchi Takuya will be the voice of the charming and deadly, Loid Forger.
- Hayami Saori will give the voice for Yor Forger, our righteous assassin.
- Fujiwara Natsumi will return to act for Damian Desmond.
- As for Bond, there will be no actor, since he is a dog. But he is a special dog!!!
Season 1 Part 2 is not really season 2 of Spy x Family, it will most probably be aired once enough source material is available to be animated. Stay tuned with Orianime for more.
