Stranger Things: Eight New Cast Members Added to Season Four
There is finally some news about the fourth season of Stranger Things but sadly, it does not hint at its release. The official Twitter account of the series announced, with upside-down photos, that eight actors will join the fourth season as new characters. While some of these characters have been cast in a follow up to the previous season’s storyline, most of the others are a part of a new arc.
Tom Wlaschiha, Nikola Djuricko, Sherman Augustus, Joseph Quinn, Mason Dye, Eduardo Franco, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Englund have signed up to play various characters in 80s themed show. Wlaschiha has been cast as Dmitri, a smart and charming Russian prison guard. His character will probably have a lot to do with Hopper because the last time the viewers saw him (in a teaser that Netflix released nine months ago), he was in Russia scraping snow from the ground.
Bad Guys actor Sherman Augustus has been cast as Lt. Colonel Sullivan, a no-nonsense but intelligent officer who believes that he can put an end to all the evil that has been terrorizing Hawkins. Eduardo Franco will debut as Argyle, Jonathan’s new friend, a mischievous stoner and a pizza boy for Surfer’s Pizza.
It also seems that there will be a new Steve Harrington-like character in the fourth season; Mason Dye will star as Jason Carver, the handsome, rich jock who is dating the most popular girl in school, and whose life begins to fall apart as Hawkins faces a new threat.
Freddy Krueger, aka Robert Englund, is playing Victor Creel, a disturbed man in a mental institution for a murder he committed in the 50s. Fantastic Beasts actor Jamie Campbell Bower will play Peter Ballard, a caring orderly in a psychiatric hospital who has witnessed a lot of brutality for years.
The new actors are joining the regular cast of Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Cara Buono and Priah Ferguson.
Do you watch Stranger Things? (Who wouldn’t, duh!) Are you excited about the fourth season?
