Takemichi’s Story Comes to an End with Tokyo Revengers Manga’s Next Arc!

Tokyo Revengers had been a hit with shonen fans since its debut back in 2017 in Kodansha comics! The manga set itself apart from the crowd with a unique mixture of school romance, delinquency, and time travel.

With its anime adaptation in the spring season of 2021, the series exploded into popularity with even more fans. Even though the protagonist Takemichi has just started his journey in the anime, he has been through countless situations both thick and thin in the original manga.

However, now it seems that the manga is gearing towards its end! 

The 26th issue of the Kodansha Weekly Shonen Magazine revealed that the Tokyo Revengers mangaby Ken Wakui would kick off the final arc from chapter 207 with the27th Shonen Magazine on 2nd June 2021. 

There are some details on what the new arc will cover, so consider this a spoiler warning!

In the Bonten arc, Takemichi was able to save his girlfriend Hinata from her death. However, that’s not all; throughout the series, Takemichi grew close with other members of the Toman group and saved many from ever becoming part of the deadly future.

However, the gang leader of the Toman group and Takemichi’s close friend, Manjiro ‘Mikey’ Sano, has taken a turn for the worse. In this alt-timeline, Mikey has become the leader of the dark and violent Bonten gang.

The manga’s final arc will follow Takemichi as he sets out to correct the past and save Mikey from the dark forces!

Considering the length of the previous arcs, it might take quite a while before the manga’s end is reached. Meanwhile, the series fans can gobble up the anime adaptation, the new live-action film, the stage play adaptation, and lastly, the live-action TV series. 

With the Tokyo Revengers popularity sky-high, nobody can guess how the manga will end and how the story will pan out!

Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on March 1, 2017. It is an ongoing manga that received its 17th compiled book volume on May 15.

The story revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, who learned that Tokyo Manji Gang had killed his only ex-girlfriend from back in middle school. After learning about the incident, Takemichi was pushed from the railway platform.

Landing on the tracks, he closed his eyes, accepting his death, but when he opened his eyes, he had time-leapt 12 years into the past.
