The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten New Key Visual Released
The upcoming anime The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten has released a new key visual for the anime. The visual features the protagonist Mahiru Shiina surrounded by autumn foliage of red maple trees and leaves.
The anime is set to premiere in January, 2023 and TOHO Animation also released a teaser video featuring the fall visual.
It was announced that a special livestream for Mahiru’s birthday will take place on December 6 and will feature voice actors Manaka Iwami and Taito Ban. The livestream will also unveil new details about the anime.
The main cast of the anime includes Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, Manaka Iwami as Mahiru, Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akasawa, and Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa.
The series is being directed by Kenichi Imaizumi and Lihua Wang at Project No.9, with Keiichirou Oochi as series screenwriter. Takayuki Noguchi is slated to be the character designer and Moe Hyuga will be handling music composition.
Additional staff includes Masahiro Miyake as art director and Tomiya Kamijou as photography director.
The original novel series that the anime is based on was written by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto. The novel series was first launched on June 15, 2019, under SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint. The series has seven volumes and a short story collection released as of September 2022.
The light novel series is released in English by Yen Press under its Yen On imprint. The story as described by Yen Press is:
Mahiru is a beautiful girl whose classmates all call her an “angel.” Not only is she a star athlete with perfect grades—she’s also drop-dead gorgeous.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) is a light novel series by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto. It started publishing online on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in June 2019.
