Keep today free in case you want to avoid running into the dubs. But even I can’t contain my enthusiasm for KamiKatsu.

KamiKatsu

It is a Japanese manga series authored by Aoi Akashiro and illustrated by Sonshō Hangetsuban titled KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World.

Yukito and his parents, both of whom are cult leaders, are at the center of the plot. After making the ultimate sacrifice, he finds himself reborn in a universe where gods do not exist and erotic literature is dismissed as juvenile. It’s a world where your nationality determines whether or not you live or die, he discovers.

Both he and his friend are killed while trying to stop the execution. At that precise moment, the god of his faith visits their realm and restores their vitality.
