The God Of Highschool Episode 1 First Look & Sneak Peek

God Of Highschool is set for a 6th July release, and Crunchyroll is getting the hype going with its teasers and trailers. Being one of the most famous webtoons of South Korea, the series has finally achieved the anime it deserves.

The latest trailer of The God Of Highschool consists of a five-minute sneak peek into the first episode of the anime along with fun cast interviews.

The high tension action scenes of the trailer are sure to attract the attention of even those who haven’t read the webtoon.

A Sneak Peek into Episode 1

The first episode starts with Jin Mori, the 17-year-old protagonist of the anime biking to reach the “God of Highschool” martial arts tournament.

On his way, he encounters a thief who steals a bag from an elderly woman and flees on his motorbike. Jin decides to catch the thief after hyper-imagining all kinds of sad things about the old woman.

He gives the thief a chase on his bike, and we see flashes of Jin’s actual might and a devilish smile.

On his way, he accidentally runs into (rather crashes into) Yoo Mira, who is also moved by the story and decides to help him. Both of them team up and chase after the thief. The trailer switches from scenes of fast to slow tempos.

The scenes also transition from action to comedy pieces quite often. It is almost too funny to see two teenagers well-versed in martial arts try to catch a motorbike thief on a bike. They get into trouble in between as well as shock everyone with their speed and power.

Han Daewi, in the beginning, looks disinterested in the ongoing chase but later participates in it as he takes down the thief with his “one-hit-kill” combat style. As all of them are heading to the same tournament, a quick friendship will build between them.

Behind The Scenes

A short behind the scenes documentary is included in the video where the creator, Yongje Park, director, Sungho Park, and the production team talk about the creation procedure of the anime.

Yongje Park is quite satisfied with the result. It is also revealed that Sungho Park did live-action filming for the latter parts of the episodes. Different movements of Taekkyon, Taekwondo, etc. were captured through motion-capture to portray the action scenes even more realistically.
