Team Happy has finally been formed for all the upcoming Glory competitions and return of Ye Xiu from his one-year retirement. Fans are excitedly waiting to know the King’s avatar season 2 release date and when it will air online.
The King’s avatar aka Quanzhi Gaoshou is a Donghua or Chinese anime in general. It is based on the novel with the same name written by Hu Dielan. The King’s avatar season 1 was well received by fans all over and marked China’s successful debut in the international anime market. Even though anime from Japan are most favored and liked by fans, this was the first time the fans switched to a new language and instantly liked it.
Even I was someone who only stuck to Japanese anime and the sound of Chinese just drove me away from any kind of anime but watching King’s Avatar made me look for more chinese anime because of their clean animations and astonishing vocals.

The first episode of season 1 aired on April 7th, 2018 and soon after the end of season 1, three special episodes aired in April-March 2018 and the third episode of the special OVA’s lit a fire inside all the fans and now everyone is eagerly waiting to know if there will be a second season of The King’s avatar anime.

But before we move on to the release date of Season 2, let’s take a look at what this anime is about and what happened in Season 1 of Quanzhi Gaoshou aka King’s avatar anime.
The King’s Avatar Anime Premise & Season 1 Recap
Story is based on a massively popular multiplayer gamed named Glory, Ye Xiu is the captain of Excellent Era, the team that won three consecutive titles in a row. But he is asked to step down from the position of the captain because of certain circumstances and he is forbidden from joining any team for the next one year.
So he announces his retirement and goes on to join a local cafe known as “Happy Internet Cafe” where he can work and play Glory at the same time. With the release of the tenth server of Glory, he once again starts playing the game but under a new alias, named Lord Grim.
Thus starts his journey of online multiplayer where he uses his skill and 10 years of experience to defeat all kinds of players and finally makes a name on the server. Players from all over China get interested in this new player and join the server in order to defeat him, but despite all their efforts, Lord Grim stays undefeated.
Ye Xiu stays a mystery as not many people know about his real identity, but at the end of the three special episodes released in 2018, his real identity finally gets revealed in front of the world and thus starts his journey to conquer the pro scene once again with the newly formed “Team Happy”.
What are the chances of a second season getting released?
Since its release, The King’s avatar has become a great phenomena around the world and the Donghua from China is receiving lots of praise from anime fans all over the world.
A second season has already been confirmed by the studio and according to trusted sources, the production has already started and we will be seeing the king’s avatar season 2 online very soon.
The King’s Avatar Season 2 Release Date
The first season was produced by G. CMay Animation and then streamed on famous Chinese video streaming platform Bilibili. We expect the second season getting produced by the same production studio as well.
The King’s avatar season 2 was scheduled to released Late 2019, and then early 2020 but as we all know, the second anime has not started airing yet, we don’t even have the trailer yet.
The second season will most probably air in Early 2021. The same time as Tower Of God Season 2 and there is news of Solo Leveling Anime releasing at the same time as well.
(The King’s Avatar) Quanzhi Gaoshou Season 2 Expected Plot
The first season and the special OVA episodes ended with the world finding out Ye Xiu and now that fans know he is still out there, there’s no stopping his return.
Ye Xiu creates a new team named “Happy” with the owner of the cafe named Chen Guo. Once Ye’s one year retirement is up, he will be back in the pro scene. His return will sure create a scene at the highest level and his previous team “Excellent Era” will surely try to take down as early as they can to make sure Ye Xiu doesn’t make a full return to Glory.
Season 2 will mostly likely have 23 or 24 episodes just like the first season and the streaming platform has not been revealed yet. We can expect it to release on Bilibili again.

What about the Netflix Original series?
