The Mandalorian Season 2 Gets Premiere Date & It’s Soon!
Wake me up when October ends coz that’s when Baby Yoda is coming back!
Lucas Film has confirmed it, y’all. The Mandalorian Season 2 is coming to Disney+ October 30!
Set after the fall of the Empire, but before the rise of the First Order, this Star Wars spinoff follows around a bounty hunter (Pedro Pascal) seeking to eke out a living with his blasters and wits on a near-lawless frontier.
When The Mandalorian first arrived in November 2019, it did so with a lot of weight on its armored shoulders: It was the first live-action “Star Wars” spinoff series.
Nevertheless, it quickly became a fan favorite while introducing the world to its newest pop culture icon, the Child, better known as Baby Yoda (who isn’t actually the baby Yoda)!
As season two begins rolling out on October 30, we will also be waiting for the results of the 15 Emmy nominations that the first season received.
The Lucasfilm and Disney+ series, created by Jon Favreau, is a contender for Outstanding Drama Series — as well as 12 other categories — for a total of 15 nominations that run the gamut from acting to cinematography, costumes to special effects, and include recognition for the show’s haunting score.
“I am so proud of everyone who contributed to make these Emmy nominations possible and am thankful to be working with such a talented group of people,”
Kathleen Kennedy,Lucasfilm President
“Disney+ took a big risk with us on The Mandalorian and I can’t thank them enough. The creative brilliance of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni coupled with the incredible innovations of ILM and Skywalker Sound truly made our first Star Wars live-action series groundbreaking. Much gratitude to Bob Iger for launching a platform which inspired an enormous rush of creativity among Lucasfilm storytellers, artists, and engineers. I can’t wait to see ‘the Child’ in his tux!”
You heard that right. The Child in his tux! (I’ll go scream a bit on the inside!) Well, may the force be with me and help me pass my time till October 30!
Comment below and let me know how you plan on waiting for the next season’s arrival and as always, May the force be with you!
