The Order Joins Netflix’s List of Newly Canceled Shows
There won’t be a third season of the horror/supernatural drama series The Order on Netflix. The show had premiered in 2019 and a second season was released in June 2020 to lukewarm reviews. In November, series creator Dennis Heaton revealed through a tweet that Netflix had canceled the series.
The Order revolves around a college student, Jack Morton, who seeks to avenge his mother’s death. To do so, he joins a secret society called the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, whose leader is his father, Edward. As he slowly gets involved in the Order’s affairs, he realizes that he has become a part of a tussle between magicians and werewolves.
In the second season, the werewolves, who call themselves The Knights, fight to get back their memories stolen by The Order. When they do get it back, they wage a full-out war against the magicians. But revenge is not easy when there are rival cults, rogue magicians and bloodthirsty demons on the prowl.
The show features Jake Manly, Sarah Grey, Matt Frewer, Max Martini, Loriza Tronco, Devery Jacobs, Katharine Isabelle, among others.
There is no news of the show being picked up by other streaming services.
