The Pokemon Company Puts Out Casting Call for a New Unscripted Show
Are you a Pokemon Trading Card Game fanatic? If yes, then your time to shine is finally here.
Even with the excessive amount of Pokemon media there is, none of us can’t seem to get enough of it. At the same time, the franchise has an abundance of the same thing, making it dull and cliche.
So, the Pokemon Company has revealed a new series based on the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG). The company has opened a casting call for fans of all ages and their families based in Los Angeles, California.
Interested candidates can apply on the casting agency’s website.
The series will be completely unscripted and feature stories by Pokemon TCG fans and their families. Whether they’re a veteran hardcore fan or a newbie, the show will have an account of everyone’s experience.
Although the Pokemon TCG came out in 1996, it still maintains a solid fan base. You’ll find people of all ages playing this game with the same energy as they did back then. The game has truly brought generations together like the franchise itself.
It’s unclear how the series will take place, how it will work, and what the episodes will include. My idea is that the Pokemon TCG experts might do an interview with the fans and show them how to level up their game in various ways.
Moreover, this is just for the LA folks right now, but if the series becomes successful, we might just get to see the staff cover other areas too. It would be a nice touch if they included a comparison of the game in 1996 to its current state.

I feel like this is an exciting production as the franchise has never done something like this before.
Such a series will help fans feel more seen and encourage others to revive their love for the franchise.
About Pokémon
Pokémon was first released in 1996 and is set up in a world where humans catch monsters and store them in pocket-sized poke-balls.
They are creatures with an affinity to certain elements and some superhuman abilities related to that element.
Revolving around a teenage boy Ash Ketchum, Pokémon takes us through his journey to becoming the most accomplished Pokémon trainer the world has ever seen.
