Among the many fascinating characters presented in the show, Kento Nanami is a Jujutsu Sorcerer who is one of the fan favourites. His character is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda for the Japanese version, and David Vincent in the English version of the anime.
Who is Jujutsu Kaisen’s Kento Nanami?
Kento Nanami is a Grade 1 wizard, who is also known as 7:3 Sorcerer Nanamin. He is a mentor of Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the show. At first, he refuses to consider Yuji as a Jujutsu Sorcerer, however things change after Yuji saves his life.
Nanami used to be an office worker who never felt acknowledged or respected by people. Becoming a sorcerer makes him feel more fulfilled as he can save innocent lives and be appreciated. Underneath his tough surface, he is a compassionate man with a noble heart.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Powers and Abilities of Kento Nanami
Kento’s innate technique, Ratio Technique creates ten lines and chooses a weak spot at the ratio of seven to three, allowing him to cut through opponents with his signature blunt sword. His Collapse technique is especially useful in devising a large weak point to destroy the target with a single blow.
Nanami’s Binding Vow ability Showing one’s cards is used to maximise the release of cursed energy in his next attack. Although he is not the strongest sorcerer in the series, his knowledge of manipulating cursed energy is outstanding.
Since he deals with the high amount of cursed energy efficiently, he controls them smoothly through his cursed technique. He is rather skilled that he even protects his soul subconsciously with his cursed energy, which has even terrified the Cursed SpiritMahito.
