Its official, The Promised Neverland will be returning for another season. After a huge success of season 1, CloverWorks studio is working to release the Promised Neverland Season 2 as soon as possible.
The Promised Neverland anime made its debut in January 2019 and has been one of the hit series of 2019’s winter anime season. The anime has gained huge popularity and a huge fan base who are excited for the next season.
The Promised Neverland is based on the manga series of the same name. The manga series is written by Kaiu Shirai. It is a mystery-thriller-adventure series which has been known to redefine most shounen genre conventions.
The series follows the story of orphans who are home cared for by Isabella, who they call as their Mother. The series has a lot of mysteries and questions. The story takes place after two of the orphans, Emma and Norman discover that the orphanage is acting as a livestock farm for demons.
Season 1 ended with Emma and other orphans escaping from the orphanage. They went inside the forest to a world full of unpredictable dangers. It was also revealed that Isabella is the real mother of Ray.
What will happen next? Where will Emma and the team go? What danger awaits them?

What will happen in The Promised Neverland Season 2?
Season 2 is supposed to be different from its predecessor. While Season 1 revolved around the mystery and questions regarding the orphanage, Season 2 would focus more on the adventures and horror of Emma’s journey in the outside world.
From the orphanage library and Sister Krone, they knew other humans living along with demons in the outside world. So they might run into such towns or cities.
Also the author Minerva remains a mystery, we knew that he sent hidden messages in Morse code through his books. Who he is and what role he plays in all this is yet to be revealed! We might see Emma and others meet this person.
If they do run into other civilizations, they can still blend in if they managed to hide the numbers on their necks. Because the number would only be the thing that would distinguish them from the normal world.
It was also revealed that Isabella is Ray’s mother. So will she try to find Ray remains uncertain? The Isabella that returned to orphanage after Emma’s escape seemed different.
We will be seeing some changes in her character in the next season. Phil and the other infants are still in the orphanage. Though it doesn’t seem that they will be rescued any soon.
There haven’t been many details revealed yet, but what we do know is that it’s gonna be full of adventure and horror, which will follow our protagonists.
How many Episodes will be there in Season 2?
While there hasn’t been official news yet, but the Promised Neverland Season 2 will surely follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. It will feature 12 episodes, just like Season 1.
The Promised Neverland Season 2 Release Dates
Originally, Yakusoku no Neverland Season 2 was supposed to release in 2020. But due to obvious reasons, the series has been pushed to Jan 2021 release. There hasn’t been any news regarding the cast.
