The Return of ‘Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun’ Anime Is Revealed in a New Teaser

It would be easy to dismiss “Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun” as just another generic supernatural comedy, but that would be a mistake. Because of how well the story dealt with all elements of a school-themed horror, the anime became a huge hit in 2020.

Unfortunately, there was no word of a second season or renewal after the anime’s initial 12 episodes aired. The time has finally come, and I can’t contain my excitement for the fans who have been waiting since then.

The official site for the “Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun” anime has begun streaming a teaser that confirms production will resume on the project soon. What this actually is and when it will be released will be made clear in the near future.

The piano arrangement of “Tiny Light” by Akari Kito, which serves as the ending theme to the anime, plays in the background throughout the teaser. Anime scenes are shown alongside dialogue between Hanako and Nene, illustrating the evolution of their friendship.

Through the course of the show, Hanako and Nene encounter a number of perilous situations from which they narrowly escape. Nene gradually learned to put more faith in the spirit because Hanako always came to her rescue.

In addition to the teaser, the official website has also released a pivotal image, which shows Hanako smiling as she holds his hand.

If production is beginning again, that means there will probably be more episodes. New episodes will pick up where the anime left off with the Summer Lights story arc, which began with the Hell of Mirrors arc.

As you might expect, a summer festival episode will play a significant role in this arc. Even with the holiday spirit and fireworks, though, it’s still unclear whether or not Hanako and Nene will end up falling in love.

And to mark the restart of the project, mangaka Iro Aida has created an illustration starring Hanako, Nene, and Kou.

Those who enjoy both horror and comedy will find a lot to enjoy in this anime.

I’m very excited to see where the plot goes from here, now that work has resumed.

Toilet-Bound The Hanako-kun manga was created by Japanese artist Iro Aida. Since 2014, it has been serialized in Square Enix’s shnen manga magazine Monthly G Fantasy, and since then, twelve tankbon volumes have been released to collect the story. Yen Press is responsible for licensing the manga in the Americas.

The legend of Hanako-san, the ghost of a young girl who haunts the school’s restrooms, is one of the best known in all of Japan.

A legend about Hanako-san exists at Kamome Academy, but it differs from the one commonly told. It is said that Hanako-san will grant the wishes of whoever successfully summons her. Many people, drawn in by the rumor mill, have unsuccessfully sought her out.

Nene Yashiro was a girl who dared to summon Hanako-san in the hopes of finding love, but she was disappointed to learn that the rumored “girl” was actually a boy!
