The story features a character from the famous folklore of Princess Kaguya and draws similarities between her and the mysterious female lead Tsukasa. 

Many might even criticize the anime, considering the strange circumstances under which Tsukasa and Nasa got married. But eventually, everyone falls prey to their endearing bond, which has melted many fans’ hearts. 

After the adorable yet steamy OVA in August left us all yearning for more, the franchise decided to act on our requests and revealed exciting news for us.

TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You is getting renewed for a second season, as announced with this special PV. All the cast and staff will be returning for season 2, along with some new ones.

The PV retells the first season’s events about how Tsukasa and Nasa met each other, fell in love, and all the hurdles the pair had to cross to be together.

It also includes several sweet moments the two shared over the episodes, making our hearts flutter in adoration.

The anime will also be getting a new episode that is under production right now. Not much information has been revealed about it yet, but it will most likely set the premise for the upcoming season.

The franchise also revealed a teaser visual for season 2 featuring Nasa and Tsukasa holding hands towards the moon under a mesmerizing starry sky.

Crunchyroll has announced that it will be streaming the anime in North, South, and Central America along with Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.

Moreover, mangaka Kenjiro Hata also drew a lovely illustration of Tsukasa to commemorate the season 2 announcement.

About TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You

TONIKAWA is the anime adaptation of Fly Me To The Moon manga by Kenjiro Hata. It debuted on 3rd October 2020 and has a total of 12 episodes. A second season is set to broadcast in 2023.

It is about Nasa, who meets a cute girl named Tsukasa on the day of his high school entrance exams. Nasa falls head over heels for her and confesses to her, but Tsukasa says that she will date him only after they get married.

She appears in Nasa’s life on his 18th birthday to get married and thus begins their sweet married life.
