Ufotable Reveals Katsugeki Teaser Confirming the Anime Film’s Production

Nothing beats historical action anime, and one produced by ufotable is nothing less than art. Yes, I’m talking about none other than the Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu series.

After a brilliant season back in 2017, the franchise is back with more for fans who missed the show dearly. Although, the season finale gave us a movie announcement that never really came through and left us wondering about it.

And now ufotable has finally announced something that has yet again awakened the thrill for the anime in us.

Studio ufotable unveiled a new teaser for Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu anime confirming that the film is under production. 

The exhilarating teaser features the main characters of the story, Izuminokami Kanesada, Horikawa Kunihiro, Tonbokiri, Yagen Toushirou, Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga.

They are shown unsheathing their swords and knives and preparing their guns to fight.

Their enemy this time is the mysterious entity called the Time Retrograde Army, which is rumored to have the ability to change history.

With such a formidable and deadly opponent, our heroes can only tough it out and fight till they stop them for good.

Moreover, the franchise also revealed a visual featuring Izuminokami Kanesada with his sword in hand as he sits down in a combat stance with mesmerizing cherry blossoms in the background.

The movie version of “Lively Touken Ranbu” is under planning.

Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu is an anime television series produced by ufotable and directed by Toshiyuki Shirai, with music composed by Hideyuki Fukasawa, based on the video game Touken Ranbu. It was released in July 2017 and ended in September 2017.
