The new subtitled trailer reveals show’s release date, Episode count and new cast members.
Vinland Saga anime has unveiled a new trailer along with key visual.
The officials also revealed its release date along and the episode count. Let’s have a look at them.
Release Date
The series is slated to premiere on 7th July of NHK’S general channel while it will be exclusively available on the Amazon Prime Streaming Service worldwide.
Trailer
Similar to the first trailer, it looks promising. The CGI is integrated really well with hand-drawn animation while the impressive camera work adds more to the scene.
Although the character designs have been simplified, the series seems to capture the intensity and dark vibes of the manga really well.
Key Visual
Unlike the first visual being limited to two cast members, the new key visual spreads over featuring more of the main cast. You can find young Thorfinn at the bottom center with Thors at behind.
At left corner, we find grown-up Thorfinn along with Askeladd below him. While at the left corner there is Thorkell. Right at center is the young princess Canate.
Episode Count
The series is slated with 2 cours consisting of 24 episodes.
Studio
Luckily, the Studio Wit is in charge of handling the series, the same studio behind Attack on Titan.
Also coincidentally the Vinland Saga will take over the same time slot as of Attack On Titan season 3, a week later as the show finishes its 10 episodes broadcasting.
Synopsis
“Thorfinn, son of one of the Vikings’ greatest warriors, is among the finest fighters in the merry band of mercenaries run by the cunning Askeladd, an impressive feat for a person his age.
However, Thorfinn is not part of the group for the plunder it entails—instead, for having caused his family great tragedy, the boy has vowed to kill Askeladd in a fair duel.
Not yet skilled enough to defeat him, but unable to abandon his vengeance, Thorfinn spends his boyhood with the mercenary crew, honing his skills on the battlefield among the war-loving Danes, where killing is just another pleasure of life.
One day, when Askeladd receives word that Danish prince Canute has been taken hostage, he hatches an ambitious plot—one that will decide the next King of England and drastically alter the lives of Thorfinn, Canute, and himself.
Set in 11th century Europe, Vinland Saga tells a bloody epic in an era where violence, madness, and injustice are inescapable, providing a paradise for the battle-crazed and utter hell for the rest who live in it.”
