Every anime and manga has some kind of power system to make the characters interesting. So, the characters are given power through the help of devil fruits. Every character in One Piece has some type of uncanny power that helps them differentiate themselves from normal beings of One Piece. The myth says that the fruit is from the devil’s tree, which provides one with the power of the devil, but it takes away the ability to swim, which is the most important thing in the world of One Piece.
Types of Devil Fruits:
- Paramecia: These provide users with a variety of abilities. Some can transform their body into some other state (like making the body into diamond and steel). Others can make some substance out of nothing (like wax, poison , soap). Some have the ability to affect the environment (like bringing quakes or stealing souls). Some examples of paramecia are Hana Hana no mi (user: Robin), Bari Bari no mi(user: Bartolomeo), Ito Ito no mi(user: Doflamingo).
- Logia: These let users transform their bodies into natural elements like fire, ice, sand, and electricity. They are immune to all types of attacks, such as being shot or cut. The only way to hurt them is through the use of haki or through their elemental weakness. Some examples are suna suna no mi(user: Crocodile), moku moku no mi(user: Smoker), and goro goro no mi(user: Enel).
- Zoan: These grant users the ability to transform their bodies into specific animals and make their hybrid forms. These carry the will of their own. They particularly enhance the user’s combat abilities. There are three types: ancient, mythical and artificial. ushi ushi no mi model:giraffe(user: Kaku),uo uo no mi model:seiryu(user:Kaido), hito hito no mi, model:human(user: Chopper).
Conclusion:
The other things we know about devil fruits are. Every character who ate them has a weakness in the seawater. Some users also awaken their devil fruits as the user will also awaken. When the current user of a Devil Fruit dies, the fruit is reincarnated somewhere in the world. So no two users with the same devil fruit power can exist. One user cannot use the power of two devil fruits(we have yet to see how Blackbeard did that).
A non-living object can also be imbued with the powers of these fruits. Additionally, artificial versions can be created by copying real Devil Fruits, as demonstrated in the Punk Hazard arc.
