When will Rick and Morty season 4 be on HULU?
It’s that time in our lives again when we have to figure out how to survive a global pandemic and also find ways to watch Rick & Morty.
With the cable bidding adieu to many of America’s youth, watching Rick and Morty seasons have been nothing short of a challenge.
Some desperate measures include watching pirated versions on Pornhub. The simplest, safest, and least pornographic method of consuming Rick and Morty, however, is to watch it on Hulu — assuming you have the patience to wait for it.
As we know, new seasons of Rick and Morty are not available for next-day streaming on Hulu, but Season 4 will premiere on the platform at some point for sure.
However, this post is for those of you who watch and rewatch old Rick and Morty episodes on Hulu. We are here to answer the question: When will Season 4 be available to stream? The answer was always dependent on exactly when Season 4 would end.
Typically it has taken about 11 months after a new season’s finale for new seasons of Rick and Morty to come to Hulu.
Seasons 2 and 3 concluded in October of 2015 and 2017, respectively, and those seasons weren’t added to Hulu until late June of the following years, making the prospective wait time around 8 months.
But thanks to a new deal, fans won’t have to wait as long this time.
Anti-delay deal
The first five episodes of Rick and Morty Season 4 kicked off November 10, 2019, and the mid-season finale aired on December 15.
Series co-creator Justin Roiland confirmed at the time that five more episodes were in development. But it wasn’t until the Part 2 trailer was released on April 1, 2020, that we knew latest episodes would begin airing May 3.
The original Season 4 trailer said “half the season you deserve, all the season we could handle,” which meant those five episodes were all Adult Swim could handle in 2019.
During WarnerMedia’s formal HBO Max unveiling, the company announced that every episode of Rick and Morty ever — past, present, and future — would be available to stream on Hulu and HBO Max.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed shortly after the announcement that new episodes “will now be available at the same time they land on HBO Max, about five months after the finales.”
For the love of lord, what’s the date?
Assuming the Rick and Morty Season 4 finale does air on May 31, then the earliest it will land on HBO Max and Hulu will be on October 31, 2020 — Halloween Day!
So there you go. October 31 it is when you continue binging on the legendary Beth clone saga along with other seasons of Rick and Morty.
