However, judging by the disappointing animation quality of season 3, we doubt that the upcoming season will be satisfactory.

The internet is now filled with memes that depict how bad the third season’s animation was, and how we fear what is to come.

What marked the terrible decline in animation quality is the studio change that occurred during the production of season 3.

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Seven Deadly Sins were animated by Studio A1, but it was changed to Studio Deen for season 3.

Studio Deen will also be animating The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement.

Although the trailer seems quite reasonable, it is not impressive enough. The norm of a trailer is to make it damn attractive so that more people are interested in the anime, and yet it does not look very eye-catching.

Season 3 suffered due to a lot of problems. It was hastily handed over to Studio Deen by A1. All the 24 episodes had to be animated within a short span of time, and Studio Deen doesn’t even specialize in shonen anime.

What’s more is that some of the episodes had to be outsourced to Marvy Jack. Two studios had to work together in haste, resulting in a disjointed anime.

Season 4 might also have the same issue as quite a good number of episodes are expected; due to the time crunch, few episodes might have been outsourced.

However, there might be some hope for the final season. Studio Deen now has prior experience with the anime, and it was not pushed at the last minute to the studio this time. We can hope that the action sequences have been improved.
