Winter 2023 Debut of “A Herbivorous Dragon” Comedy Anime Confirmed
Dragons are mythical creatures who have a grand image in our minds. Either they feed on virgin sacrifices or grant people immeasurable powers.
The dragon in “A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized” is anything but majestic. In fact, it can single-handedly ruin the reputation of its entire species. Not because he is evil but because of his diet-conscious nature and fear of getting hurt even the slightest bit.

In the video, you can see the protagonist dragon, who looks big and scary at first but is actually a softie inside. All he ever wanted was to live out the rest of his life in peace, but he was suddenly awoken by Reiko, a crazy girl who wants to be sacrificed.
The dragon tries to get rid of the nuisance by telling her a white lie, but little did he know that he would be dragged into a big mess because of it.

A meek dragon can rarely be seen, but a herbivorous one is unimaginable. This innocent animal now has to fake being scary so that no one can sense his weakness.
Reiko, on the other hand, suddenly finds her inner power due to pure misunderstanding. She will do anything to protect the dragon, who she thinks lent her that strength.
In this hotchpotch of trouble and lies, the dragon has to figure out how to save himself without having to fight anyone.

A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized is a novel by Kaisei Enomoto. It has received a manga adaptation and is lined up for an anime.
The series is about a herbivorous dragon who suddenly encounters a girl who wants to sacrifice herself to him. He has no interest in human meat, nor does he like conflict, so he lies to her and sends her away.
However, the girl now thinks she is a part of the dragon and attempts to fight the Demon Lord’s army.
