Worst Anime Heroes (and Villains)

All you wanted to know about the five creepiest anime protagonists is right here.

Hanako (Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun)

Hanako (Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun)

The spirit of a young boy, Yuji Amame, often known as Hanako-kun, haunts the halls of Kamamome High School. He believes he needs the aid of ghosts to stave off evil forces. Hanako comes across as a remarkably naive and forthright middle schooler. But when confronted by adversaries, his true colors show.

When Hanako has his chef’s knife out, he gets so focused on his work that not even his new coworker can stand to be near him. Even though Hanako is the school’s little guardian, he has a dangerous side that suggests he has a more sinister past than meets the eye.

L (Death Note)

L (Death Note)

When a mysterious vigilante starts killing people all around Japan, the best investigator in the country steps up to the challenge. L is a masterful tactician who sees the big picture at all times. He pays so close attention to detail that he comes close to snatching the evasive Kira from DeathNote.

But L just doesn’t seem all that impressive. He favors going shoeless and wearing simple T-shirts and trousers. He also squats rather than sits when using chairs. Furthermore, anyone meets his tied eyes becomes a target of his haunting gaze.

Armin Arlert (Attack On Titan)

Armin Arlert (Attack On Titan)

Armin Arlert used to be a coward who avoided any conflict that could turn physical. Though he nearly perished in a later event, his intelligence has always served him well.

Armin consumes Bertholdt Hoover and transforms into the Colossal Titan. He is much taller than the average Paradise or Marley resident. As long as the casualties aren’t pals, he doesn’t care whether they happen.

Shinichi Izumi & Migi (Parasyte: The Maxim)

Shinichi Izumi & Migi (Parasyte: The Maxim)

Instead of eating Shinichi Izumi’s brain, a Parasite from the alien invasion takes up residence in his hand. Migi and its host, now imprisoned in Shinichi’s hand, band together to defend humanity from other parasites.

The appearance of Migi transforms Shinichi’s normally unremarkable hand into something truly scary. An eye and a mouth aren’t the only signs of intelligence; it can also shift form and wield frighteningly cutting blades. When Migi goes against Shinichi’s orders, it becomes a fighting hand that no one wants to face.

Ectoplasm (My Hero Academia)

Ectoplasm (My Hero Academia)

In My Hero Academia, Ectoplasm is a member of the faculty and one of the numerous Pro Heroes at U.A. High School. Many people are afraid of him because of his alien, toothy appearance and the way he glides around with his Quirk, despite the fact that he is just doing his job.

Ectoplasm may have a peculiar appearance by birth and glide since he lost his legs fighting a villain, but he does a fantastic job nonetheless. He assists the U.A. pupils in their training by acting the part of a villain. Ectoplasm is just a regular guy who genuinely cares about his students, yet he scares people away with his appearance.
