Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Part 2 announced that the male idol group, NEWS, will perform the opening theme of the series. The anime will premiere on October 2nd, 2021.

NEWS had worked with the Yashahime franchise before as they also produced the opening theme for the Season 1 of the show.
The story starts with the twin sisters, Towa and Setsuna, who used to have a tight-knit bond until they were separated one day as kids.
Setsuna’s dreams and memories of Towa are stolen by the Dream Butterfly, making her a cold and distant person.
The twins are soon joined by their cousin Moroha, who makes a living by bounty hunting. With little to no memories of their parents, who are hailed as legends and heroes, the girls set on a journey to restore Setsuna’s memories.
The show will be available on streaming giants like Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Funimation for the fans to watch.

Season 1 ended on a rather sad note with Setsuna’s apparent death and the girls’ defeat by Kirinmaru, the show’s main antagonist. However, Sesshōmaru saves the day by giving his daughter Towa a gift powerful enough to revive Setsuna.
My guess for the upcoming season is that they will be able to revive Setsuna and practice more to control their powers.
But I also sense something shady happening behind the scenes that will come back and prove to be major trouble for the cousins.

The series is worth the watch, and I assure you that it won’t disappoint like the other spin-offs based on the younger generations.
