Yudai Debata Teases Special Project as Futari Solo Camp Manga Goes on Break

It is always annoying when someone disrupts your peace. However, things like this can turn into something priceless on some occasions, and Futari Solo Camp is all about that! This manga will make you want to go solo camping right away.

The protagonist Gen Kinokura’s life turned upside down when a college student Shizuku Kusano barged into his life. Although it was intolerable for Gen at first, it soon turned into something he would cherish.

The Futari Solo Camp manga will be going on a break in the Evening magazine’s upcoming issue 17/2021, that be released on August 10th. 

Instead, the mangaka Yudai Debata has revealed that he will be announcing a special project soon! I am sure this upcoming project will also become a fan favorite.

We can expect a wholesome and calming manga like Futari Solo Camp or something related to another outdoor activity, possibly hiking.

Futari Solo Camp is one of the most wholesome and refreshing manga ever. It doesn’t just focus on the camping-loving protagonists but also on the outdoor activity itself.

Trust me when I tell you that you can feel the essence of different places through this manga. I say this because it has mesmerizing sceneries, and the way it is described is just *chef’s kiss*.

The latest chapter shows us the beginning of yet another camping trip for the teacher and his student: Gen and Shizuku. They’re all ready and about to leave when Gen lectures Shizuku about how her new camping bag is the completely wrong choice!

Futari Solo Camp shows us a developing platonic relationship between two friends, or more accurately, between a mentor and his apprentice. Gen had to take Shizuku under his guidance reluctantly but soon got used to it.

Shizuku is just as passionate about camping as Gen, and those two get along with each other due to the mutual love of camping and its beauty.

I cannot wait for more chapters to be released as this manga is a light-hearted read which you can come back to after a long day.

Futari Solo Camp is a Japanese camping-themed manga series written and illustrated by Yudai Debata. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Evening since October 2018, with its chapters collected in ten tankōbon volumes as of July 2021.

Gen Kinokura loves camping solo. He enjoys the quiet solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the city and being able to appreciate nature all by himself.

But on one camping trip, his solitude is broken by the appearance of Shizuku Kusano, a young woman who wanted to camp solo herself. While he tries to get her to go home, she refuses and stubbornly insists on accompanying him.
