The story takes place in the near future and follows protagonists “Kirito” Kirigaya Kazuto and Asuna Yuuki as they explore numerous virtual reality MMORPG settings.
At the time of the game’s release, 10,000 individuals had connected to Sword Art Online’s virtual reality. When people understand they can’t leave the game, the plot twists.
Kirito, the protagonist who was present for the beta launch of SAO, begins planning to conquer levels as quickly as feasible. During his quest to complete the game, he meets several friends as well as a love interest, Asuna.
The plot and premise of the show are very creative and, in some ways, quite plausible in a futuristic sense.
