Instead, there was another reveal by Studio Mother. However, the reveal was for an OVA and not for the third season. Fans do not need to fret as there is a good chance that this season will come back soon enough.
Will There Be A Third Season?
Yes, Arifureta From Commonplace to World’s Strongest has a high chance of coming back. The entire running course of the anime was nothing short of a celebration. Before and after each episode, the discussion threads were flowing with comments of love and appreciation. Moreover, the same was reflected in the numbers garnered by the anime. The overall rating of the second season on IMDb was close to 7.2 stars out of 10. Moreover, the users of MyAnimeList score the anime as high as 7.2 stars.

Skipping the manga, Arifureta takes the material directly from the original light novel series. Created by Ryo Shirakome in the year 2013, the text has 12 volumes in total. Including both seasons 1 and 2, the anime has only used six of the entire text. Thus, there is more than enough source material for another season. In fact, there is as much material that can also feed the fourth season after Arifureta From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 3. Ending mid-way through the sixth volume, the next season will open with the same book.
However, the addition of the OVA to the chronology has brought a new angle to the text. Fans believe that the OVA will be in sync with the order of the light novel. For that to get a confirmation, fans will have to wait until the release of the Arifureta OVA this year.
