Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox release window confirmed by Larian Studio founder
Baldur’s Gate 3 has had a very successful launch. This has been reflected in the reviews by famous media outlets like Metacritic. The title has also become the highest-rated PC game of all time.
Baldur’s Gate 3 developers Larian Studios had more good news for the fans when the director and founder Swen Vincke announced that the Xbox Version of Baldur’s Gate 3 would be released before 2023 ends, hopefully between September and November.
The PlayStation 5 version of Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently the priority for Larian Studios, releasing on September 6th. The developers are also working on a humongous patch that is looking to fix many frequent issues and bugs in Baldur’s Gate 3.
The reason for the delay of the Xbox version is the Parity Agreement, wherein titles can only be released for the Xbox Series X and Series S simultaneously.
However, the Series S, with a lower hardware configuration than the Series X, cannot support all Baldur’s Gate 3 features. One of the prominent features is the split-screen co-op feature on the Series S.
However, Larian Studios managed to break the Parity Agreement and is now releasing separately on the Series S and Series X.
It is expected that Larian Studios will focus on pushing out the Xbox version after the launch of the PlayStation 5 version and the patch is released.
Swen Vincke mentioned that they are trying to figure out the logistics of the release and that they will launch the Xbox version as fast as possible.
Baldur’s Gate 3 releases patch update with additional ending scenes
This is good news for those with Xbox consoles. They will get to live in the expansive world that the developers at Larian Studios have created. It must be kept in mind that Baldur’s Gate 3 boasts 17000 endings.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be a significant contender for many Game of The Year awards. Its only competitors are Starfield and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, with Starfield being an Xbox exclusive and Spider-Man 2 being a PlayStation 5 complete, the onus is on Baldur’s Gate 3 to win the awards.

Baldur’s Gate III is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the Baldur’s Gate series, based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system.
A partial game version was released in early access format for Windows, macOS, and the Stadia streaming service on 6 October 2020. The game is expected to remain in early access until its full release on PC on 3 August 2023, followed shortly by a release on the PlayStation 5 on 6 September 2023. The Xbox Series X/S port is also in development, while the Stadia version was cancelled following the service’s closure.
