The Elder Scrolls VI will be vastly different from Starfield

It has been over five years since The Elder Scrolls VI was announced back in 2018. Unfortunately, all we know about the game is that it is in development. Apart from the announcement, Bethesda has not revealed any other details about The Elder Scrolls VI.

An insider revealed that The Elder Scrolls VI will run on a much superior engine than Starfield. The sci-fi action game has everyone’s attention currently but once the game releases for all, the spotlight will definitely shift to one of the most anticipated games by Bethesda.

This is an approach by Bethesda to refine their engine to make better RPGs for its players. The significant improvements in certain aspects will be clearly visible in the final product such as shorter loading times and more.

Although The Elder Scrolls VI was teased years ago, it has just recently entered the initial stages of development. Apparently, it will be exclusively released for Xbox and PC, much like Starfield. In the recent Microsoft acquisition battle, official documents revealed that it won’t be released until 2026.

The Elder Scrolls VI is termed to be the “ultimate fantasy world simulator”. So even if it won’t be at par with Bethesda’s latest IP Starfield, it will still be a title worth playing. Since the game is in development, fans might even get a glimpse of the gameplay.

It is way too soon to announce a launch date since The Elder Scrolls VI is in early development. The process could take much longer than anticipated or even run into unexpected delays. One thing is for sure, Bethesda will rather spend a few extra months polishing the game rather than rushing into release. Luckily, fans have Starfield to keep themselves busy until that happens.
