Buddy Daddies: The Second Promo Video Reveals the Artists of the Theme Song

The second promotional video for the Buddy Daddies television anime was released on the show’s official website on January 1. The video included a preview of the opening theme song and credits rolled over the artists who performed it.

Ayase sings the opening theme, “Shock,” while DURDN sings the closing theme, “My Pain.”

On January 6, the series will debut on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11, before making its way to other channels. In Japan, the series will premiere at the same time on the ABEMA TV network. On January 6, Crunchyroll will begin streaming the series.

According to Crunchyroll, the show is about:

“Targets they go after never get away but somehow this hitman team finds themselves looking after a five year old girl.And so begins the family life of a hot-blooded and cool-headed team of hired killers and a naive and innocent little girl.Will they be able to balance career and parenthood? And will this temporary family find happiness?”

Toshiyuki Toyonaga voices Kazuki Kurusu, Kouki Uchiyama plays Rei Suwa, Hina Kino voices Miri Unasaka, and Toshiyuki Morikawa voices Kytar Kugi in the anime.

Yoshiyuki Asai of P.A. Works is in charge of the anime’s direction, and Vio Shimokura and Yuuko Kakihara of the series’ scripts. Katsumi Enami created the original character designs, and now Souichirou Sako is serving as chief animation director and adapting the designs for animation. Katsutoshi Kitagawa is in charge of the score’s musical composition.

Production Anime Works (Nitroplus) and PA Works (P.A. Works) present Buddy Daddies. The publication date is set for January 2023.

Two of Kazuki and Rei’s roommates are professional killers. While Kazuki is an extrovert who enjoys gambling and women, Rei is more reserved and prefers to spend his time playing video games. As fate would have it, they wind up raising Miri, the 4-year-old daughter of a mob boss.
