Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! Released New PV Feat. Cute Chibi Character
Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! is an ongoing spin-off of Bungou Stray Dogs written and illustrated by Kanaineko.
The original manga centers around a league of detectives, named after literary figures, with supernatural powers based on their famous works.
Kadokawa announced the anime adaptation of the spinoff manga in June.
The official website of the anime, Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! released a new 60 second PV of the upcoming anime releasing on January 12th. The anime will premiere on TOKYO MX1 in Japan on the 12th.
The promotional video features the characters in a brand new adorable chibi avatar with some comedic gag scenes.
The video has unveiled the series’ ending theme song played by Yuto Uemura, the voice of Atsushi Nakajima.
The first version of the ED theme is the cover of the original title song titled “Namae wo Yobu yo” which was originally performed by Luck Life.
Recently, they released the character designs of the siblings Junichiro Tanizaki and Naomi Tanizaki along with the President of the armed detective agency, Yukichi Fukuzawa.
The chibi characters designs were unveiled on the anime’s official website and they had already revealed the designs of Rampo, Kenji, & Yosano.
Comedy Spinoff Anime Reveals Additional Characters
Fans are waiting to witness the interactions between Port Mafia and Armed Detective Agency in the upcoming anime.
The characters in the anime were animated by BONES・NOMAD, with Toshihiro Kikuchi. The main characters from the original series are set to reprise their roles in the spinoff anime.
The spinoff manga features the characters drawn in an unconventional style by Neko Kanai which was serialized on the Young Ace UP website and has released six tankobon volumes till date.
About Bungou Stray Dogs
The story focuses on Atusushi Nakajima who got himself kicked out of his orphanage.
While he is near a river bank, he stops the suicide of a detective named Osamu Dazai thinking that he was drowning in the river.
During his interactions with the detective, he learns that Dazai possesses supernatural powers and can transform into a white tiger in the moonlight.
Atusushi is forced to join his company and comes across unusual cases of people with supernatural abilities.
