Chainsaw Man Chapter 127 Summary
Asa Mitaka’s tenuous hold on life is established early in Chainsaw Man Chapter 127 when the Falling Devil takes her away from her safe haven. The Falling Devil then reassured Asa that she need not worry about the thing that truly bothers her (the feeling of falling) if she simply closes her eyes and allows herself to be made to fall by the Falling Devil.
Asa closed her eyes and surrendered while War Devil Yoru raged at her, remembering her cat Yuko and the orphanage’s guardian. She proceeds to talk about her one regret while describing how at peace she is with her impending death. But Denji, in his Chainsaw Man form, interrupts her just in time to save the day.
As they begin to float upwards into the sky, he tells Asa to think happy thoughts because the more miserable she becomes, the heavier she gets. Asa tells him he doesn’t understand how she feels, but Denji insists he does and demonstrates his empathy by revealing his own inner monologue.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 128 Details
Denji and Asa’s reunion in the previous chapter suggests that the two will begin fighting the Falling Devil as soon as they regain their footing in the next chapter of Chainsaw Man. Since the Falling Devil is probably furious that Denji is still alive, viewers can expect to see him become truly ruthless in dealing with the pair.
Asa, who is clearly unskilled on her own, will also likely rely on Yoru for fighting instruction. To be sure, Yoru’s statements from earlier in the fight certainly still ring true, and that means Asa is the only one of the two who has a chance to win. Together with Denji’s knowledge, hopefully they can secure a win.
