Chainsaw Man Chapter 131: Summary
Chapter 131 of Chainsaw Man picked up right where issue 130 left off, with Denji and Asa diving headfirst into the mouth-stomach of the alleged Gluttony Devil. The Falling Devil used her powers to force them in, but Denji initially saved them. After downing them, Falling inquired to Gluttony how “human steeped in fear” tasted.
The Gluttony Devil then shockingly threw up Denji and Asa, which apparently caused Falling to start crying. She finally decided it was time for him to die, and used her powers to call forth a great pillar of light that struck down and destroyed Gluttony. Famine Devil Fami, who Falling had previously apologized to for her failure, then commanded her to return and transform her into a doll.
The presence of Control Devil Nayuta is then revealed, along with the information that she made Denji and Asa smell and taste like “literal crap” to the Devil using her abilities. Both agreed that the end of the Human Age and the beginning of the Age of Devils predicted by Nostradamus was something they were hoping to avoid. Fami then asked Nayuta to join forces with her, but Nayuta declined due to her school schedule, and the conflict was resolved.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 132: Spoilers
With the start of a new story arc in the next issue of Chainsaw Man, chapter 132, it’s difficult to predict the issue’s specific focus. Nayuta’s likely to be the focal point of the next issue, as chapter 131 left her at school following the battle with the Falling Devil. Given that she should give some thought to what Fami has said to her, this makes sense as well.
Chapter 132 of Chainsaw Man could also highlight either Asa or Denji, revealing their thoughts after narrowly (and seemingly irrationally) avoiding certain death.
