The mecha anime film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway and gambling-themed live-action film Kakegurui: Last Resort Russian Roulette have been delayed due to these circumstances.
Gundam Hathaway announced the delay and postponed the movie Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway on its official website. The movie will now be released on 21st May, after the 3rd State of Emergency is lifted.

“Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway of the Flash” which was scheduled to be released on May 7th (Friday), is delayed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. The release date is changed to “May 21st (Friday)”.

The sci-fi movie, which was initially scheduled to premiere on 23rd July last year, was delayed due to the Covid-19 virus and 1st state of emergency. It was then rescheduled for May 7th, 2021, but due to the current surge and 3rd state of emergency, it was once again postponed.
An English subbed trailer for the movie was released last month on Gundam’s official YouTube.

The teaser for the movie was officially released back in January 2021 with the possible release in May 2021. The franchise has not yet released the new official release date.
