Date A Live IV’s New PV Teases Quirky New Spirits and April Release
Throughout the previous three seasons of Date A Live, Shido has made several spirits fall in love with him.
As the fourth season has been green-lit for the anime, he might now face a spirit that will prove to be more difficult to woo than the others.
Season 3 adapted till the end of volume 12, and I expect the series to pick up the story right after. The ninth and tenth spirits are yet to be tamed, and they will pose a challenge more unique than the rest.
Date A Live IV will be released in April 2022. A new promotional video has been revealed, showing all the spirits of the series in action.
The first scene shows Shido grabbing Mokuro, the tenth spirit, and claiming that he will protect her. Will this be enough to melt her heart?
Mokuro has closed off her heart and wanders around in space. Can Itsuka capture her attention?
All the other spirits are also shown in action as different conflicts surround them.
Nia, the ninth spirit, will also make an appearance in the upcoming season. She is an otaku by heart, and the only thing Itsuka needs to do is take her out on an otaku date.
Yet, he might face an unexpected obstacle as Nia needs to confess that she only falls for 2D characters.
The new cast members for Nia and Mokuro have also been revealed:

The opening theme song, “OveR” will be performed by Miyu Tomita. sweet Arms will perform the ending theme, “S.O.S.”

Date A Live IV was supposed to be released in 2021 but got delayed due to production-related issues. Now that a fresh date has been fixed, I’m looking forward to the introduction of new spirits.
Will Itsuka finally confess his motive to them? Let’s see if he can woo yet another world-threatening spirit and make her fall for him.

Girls known as spirits are the cause of spatial earthquakes in a dystopian future. Shido discovers that the only way to seal such spirits is to make them fall in love with him and kiss him. Shido has to seal as many spirits as he can to save the world.
