Dragon Ball Super 65: Is Goku Too Soft Or Is He Just Dumb?
Is Goku too soft? Or is he just dumb? I think this question has been due for quite some time. Even if Goku is not dumb, he does come off as an insensitive person sometimes. We will try to explain what makes Goku the legendary hero that we know.
[SPOILER]
The latest chapter preview of Dragon Ball Super is out and we cannot believe what he has done! Moro was one of the toughest antagonists in the Dragon Ball Super saga and yet Goku tries to help him.
In chapter 65 of Dragon Ball Super, Moro is finally defeated. However, Goku takes a senzu bean from Kuririn and offers it to Moro.
Moro mercilessly beats Vegeta, Piccolo, Kuririn, and every other hero present, and yet Goku tries to help him. A lot of questions arise at this point.
Kuririn stares at Goku and questions his sanity and so do we. Moro is a mass murderer who even absorbed his allies to grow more powerful. How can Goku try to save the person who has severely wounded so many of his friends?
Just as Goku gave the senzu bean to Moro, he proceeded to try and kill Goku. By now Goku has grown stronger and we assume he can easily defeat Moro.
Goku is repeating what he did with Cell. During the Cell Games arc, Goku gave a senzu bean to Cell so that Gohan could battle him and increase his power. Is the training of Gohan worth the risk of destroying the human populace?
Everyone was against this decision and Gohan indeed was beaten up enough to be on the verge of death.
However, Gohan did a great job and became the first Saiyajin to reach Super Saiyajin 2. In this case, Goku saw through both Cell and Gohan before reaching a suitable conclusion.
One arc where Goku was proved entirely right was when he had to fight Majin Boo. He wished for an opponent as strong as Boo but without any malice towards mankind.
As a result, Uub was born. Uub was the positive counterpart of Boo and Goku was proven right.
Another incident which shows how much Goku thinks about the long run is the Universe Tournament Arc. Goku insisted on the tournament and Zeno bet that the universe of the loser will get destroyed.
This seemed quite callous on his part. However, the Grand Priest revealed that planets are already dying due to overpopulation. Goku just gave them a chance to fight for themselves.
Goku is always eager to test his strength and although it is sometimes of inconvenience to others, he tries his best to consider his enemies.
Will there be a Dragon Ball Super Season 2?
He has no interest in being a judge of character and neither does he want to give anyone a death sentence. Goku’s demands are simple. He wants to fight strong opponents to become more and more powerful.
So, is Goku dumb or is he just trying to maintain what he thinks is good? For him, the safety of his friends and family comes first which is why he goes through so many fights.
He does not want to ‘kill’ anyone and can go to painful lengths to save a person, be it a friend or foe.
In his quest to get stronger, he encounters enemies who hurt the people around him but he always tries his best to save them. What are your thoughts on this attitude of Goku?
