It will be the first Dragon Ball movie after the 2018 Broly film, and Akira Toriyama’s supervision is sure to make this worth the wait.

The Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie will be released in theaters across Japan on April 22, 2022. It will also be screened in North America this summer.

A virtual event was held this Saturday that involved the staff members of the film. Producers, Akio Iyoku and Norihiro Hayashida along with director Tetsuro Kodama attended the event..

Some clips from the film were also streamed during the event. You can check out the whole interview right here (the movie clips start at 7:13:17).

The first clip showed Dr. Hedo blowing up a base camp or prison-type area. In the second clip, Gamma 2, one of the original characters can be seen attacking Piccolo.

Gohan is present in the final video, and he fights Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. It looks like both the androids are working for Hedo. Oddly enough, there was no glimpse of Goku in the video. Will he only be a sub-character in this film?

This will be the 21st film of the franchise, and its latest visual shows all the main characters who will be in the movie.
