Teaser for the Gridman Universe Movie Reveals Cast and March 24 Release
The teaser trailer and a new key visual for the anime movie ‘Gridman Universe’ were made available on November 20 on the film’s official website. The March 24 premiere date and additional cast members are revealed in the trailer.
The actors who have been identified are:
- Ryousuke Takahashi as Caliber
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Max
- Aoi Yuki as Borr
- Masaya Matsukaze as Vit
- Mayumi Shintani as Rikka’s mother
- Enichi Suzumura as Knight
- Karin Takahashi as The 2nd
- Suzuko Mimori as Namiko
- Kari Kito as Hassu
Akira Amemiya is directing the movie at Studio Trigger. Character designer Masaru Sakamoto, scriptwriter Keiichi Hasegawa, and composer Shiro Sagisu are additional employees.
The 12-episode SSSS. Gridman series was the first anime in the “Gridman Universe” franchise. The anime studios Trigger and Tsuburaya Productions collaborated on the series, which made its debut in October 2018. Tsuburaya Productions also created the Denko Chojin Gridman live-action series from 1993 and the Ultraman franchise.
Gridman Universe, SSSS. Dynazenon, the second anime, debuted in April 2021. The “Next Gridman Universe” and the phrase “Gridman x Dynazenon” appeared on a teaser card that appeared at the end of the anime in June 2021.
The series also served as the basis for a stage production, a manga adaptation, and a novel spin-off.
About Gridman Universe
Gridman Universe is an original movie directed by Studio TRIGGER that combines the characters and worldviews of SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon.
The main character of SSSS.Gridman is Yta Hibiki, a high school student with amnesia who lives in the fictional city of Tsutsujidai. In an outdated computer, he encounters the Hyper Agent Gridman, who tells the boy that he has a mission to complete and sets out to understand both the meaning of those words and his memory loss.
Akira Amemiya is helming the picture, which will have its world premiere on March 24, 2022.
