Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 242 is Delayed: Release Date Raw Scans

Chapter 240 ends with Kenjaku having an upper hand in the Kenjaku vs Takaba fight. Although fans had expected Chapter 241 to continue this conflict, it is swiftly paused in favor of revealing Takaba’s past. Fans await the manga to get back on track with the action-packed adventures with the release of the upcoming chapter. Unfortunalty, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 242 is delayed week back.

Takaba struggles to achieve his goals as a comedian and sits back, contemplating his reasons to be one. For him, comedy is something serious — though it sounds funny and a little stupid, his goal is to make everyone laugh.

And to make everyone laugh, he needs to take comedy seriously because if there’s no passion, there’s no result. Comedy, for him, seeps deeper than just merely making people laugh. He wants people to know him better so he will not be lonely anymore.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 242

In many ways, the chapter seems a little underwhelming as Takaba becomes, yet again, a pretty uninteresting character with nothing more than a simple dilemma of being a comedian as a backstory.

However, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is going on break next week so we can let ourselves hope for a much better chapter. Fans are also hoping for the Kenjaku vs Takaba battle to reach its climax in the upcoming chapter as well. Since the upcoming chapter is delayed , have a look at the breath taking developments in My Hero Academia Chapter 242.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 242 Preditions:

Kenjaku Vs Takaba

The next chapter will definitely be a continuation of Kenjaku vs Takaba. Fans also hope for a conclusion so that we can further follow Sukuna and his battle.

Chapter 242 will focus more on Takaba and his peculiar attempts to make Kenjaku laugh. Till now, Kenjaku is the one with the control and fans are expecting a shift. Although it is downright impossible for Takaba to completely take down Kenjaku, as Gege has compared him to Gojo before, it is safe to say that Kenjaku might find this fight tougher than he had initially expected.

Accordingly, this fight might have two conclusions:

  1. Takaba might die but not before unlocking his full potential and cornering Kenjaku.
  2. This fight might be a draw with some type of intervention.

It is too early for a vicious villain like Kenjaku to die and that too in the hands of someone like Takaba.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 241 Recap:

Takaba — A ‘Serious’ Comedian

This chapter reveals that Takaba had always been passionate about his goals to become a comedian. We find him practicing jokes with his friend but it is immediately clear that his friend is not as interested as him. On one hand, we have Takaba who’s continuously preparing for competitions to get a breakthrough while his friend is busy drinking and partying. He doesn’t seem to care much and when he’s questioned, he gives a casual “my bad”.

Takaba’s past shows his isolation as a child and how he used comedy as a weapon to keep people close to him. He tries and tries to make a breakthrough but somewhere down the line, he stops respecting his choice to protect himself from getting hurt.

Through this flashback of the dilemma, we finally witness Takaba getting back on his feet and facing Kenjaku with a newfound strength and purpose. Suddenly, he bows in front of Kenjaku as a means of apology. We find him accepting his true self — he is dissatisfied even if 1 out of 100 doesn’t laugh at his joke. He’s going to make everyone laugh. He asserts that Kenjaku will double over in laughter.
