And now, finally, his work has been recognized globally!

Fans couldn’t be happier with Ito sensei’s nominations for this year’s Eisner Awards. His winning is one of the most outstanding achievements in the manga industry today!

Junji Ito has won two Eisner Awards this year in the Best Writer/Author category for his masterpieces: Remina and Venus in the Blind Spot.

Remina was also recognized as the Best U.S. Edition of International Material- Asia, which in my opinion, is a huge win.

These two sensational mangas by Ito became immensely popular among horror fans. With an intriguing plot and peculiar art style, Ito’s works won many hearts and scared many more.

Without spoiling the manga, I’ll let you know what to expect from Remina. It is about a scientist who discovers a new planet and names it after his daughter Remina.

The happiness is short-lived as the new planet turns out to be a giant monster-like creature that is hell-bent on destroying humanity. Which instigates the whole world to hunt Remina and her father under the pretense that killing her would bring peace. (yikes)

Coming to the other one, Venus in the Blind Spot. This book is a collection of some of Junji sensei’s brilliant works. It contains a series of short stories, which are as follows:
