The upcoming Kaguya-sama arc will be adapted into an anime movie.
In the Kaguya-sama: Love is War season 3 finale, Kaguya and Miyuki sealed the deal with an incredibly passionate kiss under a sky decorated with balloon hearts.
Shinomiya and Shirogane’s first kiss was finally revealed in the show after three seasons of teases, and the wait was well worth it. The two were on the roofs during the campfire, filled with hundreds of balloons in the shape of hearts that Miyuki had released.
First kisses are especially memorable. Even adults can’t help but blush at the memory of them because they have such a lasting impression. So it makes sense that Kaguya’s first kiss would result in some chaotic consequences.
Fortunately, we will not have to wait too long to see this because an anime movie for the Kaguya-sama: Love is War series has been revealed by Kadokawa’s Newtype magazine.
The announcement and the title of the movie, “Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends,” were both included in the magazine’s August issue.
News reports state that the movie will begin immediately following the season 3 finale. It will adapt The First Kiss Never Ends arc from the manga, which depicts Kaguya and Miyuki’s courtship (finally).
The pair will spend the entire story arc getting to know one another’s passions, ideas, and emotions. Nice, huh?
Let’s not forget that the simply adore rivals have only kissed each other once and haven’t verbally expressed their feelings for one another. As a result of Kaguya’s insistence on having got a confession and Miyuki’s potential failure to pick up on her hints, the situation will likely become even more chaotic than it already was.
Following this arc, the show will concentrate a little more on the supporting cast members’ romantic relationships. For instance, I’m very excited about Yu and Miko because the season 3 finale hinted at some strong chemistry between them.
I doubt any other romance anime this year will surpass the finale because it set the bar so high.
About Kaguya-sama: Love is War
Aka Akasaka is the author and illustrator of the Japanese seinen manga series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. It first debuted as a serial in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump in May 2015, and in March 2016 it was moved to Weekly Young Jump.
Miyuki Shirogane, president of the student council, and Kaguya Shinomiya, vice president, seem to be the ideal couple. Even so, they plot to force the other to make the first declaration of love because they are both too proud to do so.
