Great Snow Sea Kaina Conflict in the Snow Sea was the title of episode 4 of the anime. Kaina and Ririha make a daring jump into the Snow Sea in this episode. They were pursued by Orinogo’s Atlandian cavalry, but the Valghians caught up to them first. In spite of Orinogo’s best efforts, the Valghian officer manages to capture Ririha. Orinogo loses the battle and the war. When the Valghians kidnap Ririha, she gives Orinogo orders to bring Kaina to safety. He does what she tells him and abandons her. While her father learns of Ririha’s capture, he does nothing to rescue her.

In order to provide Kaina a place to speak, Orinogo brings her to a private room. The younger brother of Ririha, named Yaona, is another person he encounters. Her brother tells her that their dad is preparing for war and has no intention of talking to Valghia. He adds that Ririha will be present at the Spire Tree meeting between the two countries. Since he needs to breathe while traveling through the Snow Sea to reach the other Spire Tree, Kaina opts to use his air tanks for this purpose. So Yaona decides to tag along with him.
