Key Visual & Updated Release Date for Masamune-kun’s Revenge R!

We were all devastated to learn that Masamune-kun’s Revenge R would not be coming out this year. Since its premiere in 2017, a second season was announced the previous year. The original April arrival date was pushed back to July due to the COVID-19 scenario.

However, viewers may expect more plotting from Masamune on the future season’s class trip to Paris.

On Friday, the production team unveiled a refreshed key graphic for the latest Masamune-kun’s Revenge R commercial. According to the commercial, the new season will debut on July 3.

New footage of Masamune, Aki, Yoshino, and the recently debuted Muriel Besson can be seen in the 30-second clip.

The following is the voice cast for Season 2. The majority of the cast is returning from the debut season.

The animation team at Studio Silver Link is coming back to work on the series as well. The series is directed by Mirai Minato, and Michiko Yokote is writing the screenplays. The anime adaptation’s character designs were done by Yuki Sawairi.

My anticipation for this season is through the roof because the first one only covered half of the canon, or six volumes. There is no doubt that the remaining five will be covered this season. It hasn’t been confirmed, but it could possibly include the one-volume After School manga.

Masamune-kun’s Revenge

Masamune-kun’s Revenge

Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv’s Masamune-kun’s Revenge is a manga that was serialized in Monthly Comic Rex Magazine by Ichijinsha from October 12, 2017, to June of 2018. Its 2017 anime adaptation featured 12 episodes. In July of 2023, fans may expect to see season two.

Masamune, the protagonist, used to be overweight and was bullied by Aki Adagaki until he resolved to make a change. Fast-forward to high school, where he has transformed into a skinny, studious athlete. Now Aki doesn’t even know him.

Masamune vows that he will manipulate Aki into loving him and then rejecting him as his method of retaliation.
