What is the Red Paper: Charles Choi’s Weakness

Charles Choi is by far the most mysterious character in Lookism, and now fans are expecting some of his hidden past to be finally revealed.

We are aware of Charles Choi’s weakness as revealed by Eugene. Charles used Diego Kang or DJ to do his dirty business and used him to kill Gapryong Kim. Though there was no evidence for his adversaries to prove him guilty, now the Red Paper is now in the hands of the enemies.

The Red Paper likely contains some sort of evidence against Charles Choi. Since he has not been destroyed it might be something indispensable without which will cease his power over the four gangs.

Charles Choi still has a counter up his sleeve, the document proving Cheon is a traitor and him working with the Yamazaki Clan. Revealing this to the world should destroy Cheon’s work and reputation too. So, how does Cheon plan to use the Red Paper, we will have to wait and see in the next chapter.

How did Yuk get the Red Paper?

Yuk traded the Red Paper for Vin Jin’s life and now he is on his way to take it back. But fans are left to ponder how Yuk got his hand on the Red Paper. It was likely in the possession of the girl we see collapsed in front of Vin Jin’s cabin. Many theories point towards a connection between the girl and Charles Choi.

She is a likely and rightful owner of the land but because of the Shamen’s injustice lost it. Charles Choi might have been protecting her family and the Red Paper held secrets that let them have rights over their land.

Cheon desires their land and launches an attack to recover the documents. No longer being able to protect the Red Paper, she handed it over to Yuk to look after it.

Recap

The chapter starts with Yuk fighting a bunch in the villages as he attempts to stop the ritual and prevent Vin Jin’s murder. Not soon after he is completely overwhelmed by Generation 0’s Kojima Shigeaki.

Just as we are on the verge of an incredible batter between Shingeaki and Yuk, the Shaman interferes and corners Vin Jin. To save Jin, Yuk makes a deal to hand over the Red Paper.

In the past, Charles outplayed Shaman with the proof of him being a traitor to the people of the village and siding with the Yamazaki Clan. This seemed to have kept the Shaman on the edge for quite some time, but now that Charles Choi’s weakness is in his hands we will have to wait and see what he does next.

Then we cut away to Vin Jin in his cabin in the middle of the dusk. He is startled by a shadowy figure outside his gate. As he opens the door he sees a girl in loose clothes collapsed on the ground.
