Love All Play Lauds the Fastest Sports with New Visual & 2022 Debut
What do you think is the world’s fastest sport? If you thought it’s cricket or soccer, you are completely off track because, as unexpected as it is, badminton claims the top spot in this case.
Upcoming badminton anime, Love All Play, latches itself onto the idea with its tagline, “A once-in-a-lifetime coming-of-age that hurtles at 400 km/h (250 mph), love-all play!!”
The Love All Play anime will premiere in spring 2022, leaving us plenty of time to muse on the original novel by Asami Koseki that inspired the adaptation.
A teaser has also been released to announce the anime:
The teaser doesn’t betray the actual plot, but it does follow the making procedure behind the beautiful visual. It also claims the sport is the fastest in the world as the shuttlecock’s initial speed after a smash is sometimes 250 mph.
A new visual is also revealed that highlights the anime’s protagonist, Ryo Mizushima.

Studio OLM and Nippon Animation will no doubt try their best to animate these high-tension moments. OLM has also previously produced Inazuma Eleven and is quite adept at sports anime.
Main staff members of the series have also been revealed:
Position | Characters | Other Works |
Director | Hiroshi Takeuchi | Blade & Soul |
Series Script Writer | Tomoko Konparu | Nodame Cantabile |
Character Designer | Riko Kaneda | Chuch Shimezo movie (Key Animation) |
Music Composer | Yuki Hayashi | My Hero Academia |
The anime is set to release next year, but I am sure that many more trailers and visuals will be revealed before its premiere. With a protagonist who is self-taught, the upcoming series will shed light on Ryo’s way of building relationships with teammates.
Keep an eye out for more details on this novel-turned anime, as this might just be your next favorite sports series!
