My Hero Academia Discloses New Battle Royale-Style Video Game
As soon as an anime peaks its popularity, the franchise starts to milk out every benefit of its success by releasing a bunch of other stuff, the most common one being video games.
And it looks like My Hero Academia has started doing something similar.
Right before the anime release of one of its deadliest and most brutal arcs, My Hero Academia has been releasing a lot of stuff to hype up the fans.
If you think that all the extra goodies are lame, you’re wrong because MHA is one franchise that knows how to maintain quality.
So, MHA has got something equally exciting for us in anticipation of the new season.
In Weekly Shonen Jump’s seventh issue, My Hero Academia revealed a new video game called My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble in the works. More details about the release date will be announced later.
An introductory video was also released consisting of our favorite characters’ dialogues and showing us around all the locations in the game. It also previewed the gameplay and the excellent visuals that the game has.
Ultra Rumble will be free to play and available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Stream. The game is a battle royale-type game with 24 playable characters and team participation.
Moreover, another 28-minute video was released for beta testing for its PS4 version.
Besides the gameplay and visuals, this video includes a voice-over and comments by the creators as they tested the game. The anime’s cast will also be voicing their characters in the game, so you can get the full MHA feels from it.

Even though I am not a gamer, the gameplay and testing clips really got me excited for it. Now I can’t wait to try it out, even though I’ll be terrible at it.
I can imagine just how excited the real gamer otakus must have gotten after hearing the news.
